As someone who passionately hates software piracy…but also passionately hates paying anything for software, I have long ditched my Windows and Mac computers in favour of Linux. What most of my clients and fellow photographers don’t know is that the free photo and image editing software readily available on Linux are quite sophisticated and mature. As such, I primarily use a combination of digiKam, GIMP and Google Picasa running on my Ubuntu Linux 10.10.
However, I do have my wish list…
- A dedicated laptop running Windows 7
- Portrait Professional
- Adobe Photoshop CS5
